From June 1979 to April 1981, fifteen patients with eighteen congenital hip dislocations were treated by either closed or open method, through mainly medial approach, accoording to the state of the dislocated. hip and age of the patients.
Among them, 3 cases´ were bilateral congenital dislocation of the hip.
The average follow-up was one year. As results of this study, fourteen hips(88%) among eighteen hips were above good by Saddon´s classification.
